Initial Landscape Consultation

Land­scape design estab­lishes a frame­work to guide development and begins with a col­lab­o­ra­tion of ideas and con­cepts.  The con­cep­tual design phase determines the clients’ needs and desires, and address the conditions of the site.  From this we can establish the aesthetic, functional, and horticultural requirements for the design.

Our landscape designer will discuss your project with you in order to determine how best to achieve your vision and determine your project budget, scope and other details.  For smaller scale projects no design may be required.  In this case we will provide you with a written proposal based on the initial consultation for your approval.

 Creative Phase – Master Landscape Plans

Mas­ter landscape plans pro­vide a grand vision that inte­grate pri­or­i­ties, goals and objec­tives and allow for phased installation. Their pur­pose is to pro­vide design solu­tions for today’s needs, while also addressing future oppor­tu­ni­ties.  Mas­ter plan­ning also estab­lishes a logical sequence for construction and budgeting.  Our goal is to develop mas­ter plans that allow our clients to realistically achieve their dreams and visions for their landscape.

Landscape design services begin with a site analysis.  We visually inspect your property to verify that existing site conditions are accurately shown on the property plats.  Measurements and notes are taken on existing structures, grades, plant material,  and over-all site conditions.

Conceptual landscape plans are prepared to reflect client preferences, as established in the initial consultation and new concepts of design are presented.

The landscape Master Plan is prepared from preliminary plans, ideas, and client feedback.  Final plans will include scale work drawings with indicated locations and specifications of material proposed.  We present your master plan and walk through your property together, so you can visualize how the design ideas will come together.  In addition to plantings, full scope plans may include the possibility of incorporating hardscaping, ponds, decks, or various other types of shade structures such as gazebos, arbors and pergolas.  Written cost proposals for the project are presented with the plan.  Once accepted, installation can be scheduled.

When our designer meets with you and understands the scope of your project, they will discuss any design fees where applicable.  Design fees start in the $500 range.  Our landscaping projects start in the $2000 range.  We work throughout the greater Baltimore metropolitan area in Maryland, although most of our projects are in Baltimore County, Carroll County, and Baltimore City.  We service clients in a 25 mile radius (including Monkton, Reisterstown, Glyndon, Hunt Valley, Sparks-Glencoe, Ruxton and Roland Park) from our nursery facility at 4405 Butler Road Reisterstown, Md  21136.
